Features: The long horizontal section and large grinding resistance required sophisticated technicians; the high density and pressure required good erosion resistance of LWD instrument.

Project Overview:

YB013-H04, located in Zichang County, Shaanxi Province, is a horizontal development well. The geological structure of the well’s location is that the pressure of Yanchang group is abnormally high and Zhifang group is gas closed. The purpose is to evaluate the storage of Shihezi group and Shanxi group. The well used the LWD geological guidance system for 2 months continues construction. And finally passed the acceptance test.

Difficulty in construction:

1, Long stable oblique section, the construction team needs leering and using ability for the regular of stratigraphic nature slope.

2, Long horizontal section, the construction team needs to overcome the large resistance, sliding drilling difficulties.

3, The size of four wells are small, and it has large depth. The large cycle pressure cost and high construction pump pressure requires great safety requirements.
