Features: Firstly, drill hole to find the oil layer, and then drill large displacement horizontal wells. The operating efficiency of Offshore platform is high, it requires good equipment stability, long-term operation. The international supervision company monitored to make sure it operated in high standard.

Project Overview:

The 2S-50H well is located on the offshore platform Atlas of the Salman (Persian Gulf) block in Iran. It is development well and horizontal well. The purpose of drilling is to evaluate the U-Arab (U1-U7) reservoir and to develop oil from the U-Abrab U3 reservoir. It used the Slimpulse + MCR geological guidance equipment assembly that we designed for Stumberger to construct. The project is successfully accomplished in accordance with the design schedule. IOOC gave a high rating and praise towards our performance.

Difficulty in construction:

1, The brine drilling fluid system challenges the erosion and corrosion resistance capacity.

2, High construction risk for the frequent oil well leakage.

3, The working time for a single drilling trip is long. The longest one continued for up to 400 hours.
